Tips for Studying the Bible: 1-5

1. Pray. Start with a prayer asking for guidance, wisdom, and understanding. Posture yourself to hear from God.

2. Select the Bible version that is the easiest for you to understand. This may also include a study Bible that breaks down scripture.

3. Choose the most practical time for you to study. This can change, but choosing a standard time will help you create consistency around your Bible study.

4. Choose the best location for you to study. This should be a comfortable and peaceful place that allows you to focus on scripture and fully hear God.

5. Find and select commentary resources and study guides to help you understand scripture. This is in addition to your study Bible if needed and may include Bible dictionaries and concordances. This will help you to correctly interpret scripture.
