In Genesis 22:1-19, God tests Abraham by asking him to sacrifice his son Isaac, and Abraham demonstrates his faith by obeying God’s command.
Here are four lessons I learned from Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice the very son God promised to him:
1. Abraham obeyed immediately.
2. Abraham believed the promise God gave him and that God would provide the sacrifice.
3. Abraham did not focus on the “how” because he knew the “Who.”
4. Worship is not just singing; it can be displayed in our prayer, obedience, and complete surrender to God.
